New Tapir Found in the Upper Madeira River Basin

A new tapir species has been discovered in the upper Madeira river basin. It is literally the biggest zoological discovery of the century! The article also mentions that the construction of the new hydroelectric dams on the Madeira River poses a potential threat to the new species.
